Rain Shower Heads
Growing in popularity is the large rain shower head that has lots of holes to provide a wide spray that resembles rainfall. These look great and can either be fitted into the ceiling if the plumbing allows or to a shower arm fixed to the wall.
Either way works well, just be sure that the ceiling height isn’t too high or that you get a long enough arm to get the best positioning in your shower. If your ceiling is too high then it will affect the performance of the rain spray.

A handheld shower can be an extremely useful type of shower. It has the flexibility to spray everywhere which can help clean the shower, young kids and family pets.
Some are fitted to a rail to allow for an adjustable shower height. This can be especially useful in showers that are used by the whole family and the various heights of family members.
Dual Shower Head
The dual shower can provide a rain shower and a hand shower. This could be the best solution that solves your shower requirements. They are wall fitted as single units with one plumbing fitting and have a diverter to switch between the two.
You can of course create the same solution with independent plumbing so have a ceiling-fitted rain shower head and a wall-fitted hand shower each with their own water supply
